Jordan Turnerโ€™s โ€œUnsettled Ink & Woodโ€ is a multidisciplinary solo exhibition that explores Canadaโ€™s settler colonial legacy, environmental impact, and cultural transformation. The show includes works from sub-series such as:

  • Visions of a Transient World

  • Unsettled Tattoos

  • Housing Study

  • Junk Power

  • Water Safety

Turnerโ€™s work invites viewers to reflect on their place within disrupted landscapes and the layered complexity of identity in a settler society.

Floating Above is a stunning solo exhibition by Farahnaz Samari, blending abstraction and impressionism into dreamlike compositions inspired by memory, motion, and the colors of the sea.

With over 20 paintings on view, this collection explores contrasts โ€” stillness versus motion, softness versus bold form โ€” while drawing deeply from the artistโ€™s memories of Iran and her life on the West Coast of Canada. The series reflects a profound connection to the ocean, where the imagery of floating in emerald waters evokes a sense of peace, nostalgia, and inner clarity.

๐Ÿ–Œ๏ธ โ€œMy art captures the dreams of my childhood and the quiet energy of ocean life. Each painting is a moment, a memory, a photograph in motion.โ€ โ€” Farahnaz Samari

Originally from Iran and now based in Vancouver, Samari is a graduate of both the University of Tehran and Emily Carr University. Her work has been exhibited in more than 80 solo and group shows across Iran and Canada.

This exhibition marked a powerful contribution to Capulet Art’s continuing series highlighting voices that balance technical mastery with deeply personal expression.
